![]() But I did first install SQL Server 2005, which included some VS.NET '05 components, as well as framework 2.0. On my machine, I didn't have any beta 2005 versions present. If the issue isn't related to missing files on the DVD, perhaps autorun.exe is detecting something on the target machine and then bailing out early. I'm guessing that QuanT's points to \vs\setup.exe.įurther evidence that autorun.exe doesn't expect a setup.exe-running Sysinternals' filemon tool does not indicate any attempts to load a setup.exe, or look for any file in a VS sub-directory. ![]() Note that the launch event DVD's autorun.inf points to \autorun.exe. Perhaps there ought NOT to be a setup.exe on this DVD, but setup works by launching an MSI somewhere else? Does anyone out there have a copy of VS.NET '05 that you rec'd from the launch event that DOES have a VS sub-directory? ![]() ![]() I have no VS sub-directory on my DVD, but do have lots of. I also received the Visual Studio 2005 Std edition at the launch event and am seeing the same problem-after manually launching autorun.exe, nothing happens. ![]()
